The selection committee used a variety of data statistics and online tools to determine value and interest in each name. Using Estibot to gain an appraisal evaluation was great assistance. A full data used is available on the live auction list available for download. The data is used as a reference, is not guaranteed by selection committee.
The Live Auction initiates June 16 at 4:00pm EDT. Participation in the auction is available onsite or online. Onsite registration is available at the Thought Convergence booth. Please stop by, we will be happy to assist you in registering. If you are not able to join us, you can participate in the simultaneous online auction. Be sure to preregister at www.Aftermarket.com.
The auction will start with domains donated to Internet Commerce Association. All proceeds of these sales will go directly to ICA. Stay tuned for that list!
Aftermarket.com
elected to conduct a Live auction and Extended auction with names targeted specifically for each auction catalog. Details on the Extended auction are still in committee, but we expect a resolution soon. Domains not sold in Live auction will be available in Extended auction for purchase.
The Domain Roundtable conference is hosted in Washington, DC, June 14 -16. The conference agenda contains unique panels and panelists covering a wide range of information, appealing to and gathering a vast audience. Conference details, agenda, speakers and registration information can be found at the Domain Roundtable conference website.
Stay tuned for the ICA and Extended auction update!

I noticed that the status of the domains in our auction manager still does NOT change. After all of this time and all of the complaints and suggestions to provide better communication about the submissions – to change the domain status to “not selected” or “rejected”, nothing. No change. I dont know why its so difficult to provide an up to date status on the submission of domains. If they arent chosen, then fine – we can remove them and move along. There’s no hard feelings. I just dont get it.

Is it too late to add 5 premium names to the auction?
< < UPDATED >> The submission period began in February for this event and was available to interested participants until May 31, 2009. Unfortunately we can no longer consider names as the catalog has been finalized.

I am with you OptimalNamesDOTcom … been down THIS road before … I still don’t understand WHY anyone running this auction would NOT want to PROPERLY update ’status’ of submitted domains ???

I don’t see you have many premium names here. But if you say submission is over. Sure, no probs.

I think this place has turned into a vehicle for a small group of domainers (i.e. DomainConsultant’s friends & associates) to dump their inventory.
My profile still says “under review”. At least when Jay was around he marked the domains he didn’t want with an obscenity. I gave him the benefit as he sold over a million dollars worth of domains for me. Where is that boy anyway?
No offense Susan, but no-one gives a crap about “Akami”.

I can’t believe how much some of these domains are going for! I haven’t looked at all of them, but clearly some of them are going just for the name not the site content. Some of these sites are horrendous. I wouldn’t buy a lot of them for $10: just the original cost for a domain name at godaddy. I have a site that is basic and at least it is earning a small revenue each month at car-insurance-los-angeles.com
