Domains going to auction for less then $10,000

I wanted to showcase a few of the domains going to auction at the Domain Roundtable this year that had reserves under $10,000. This is not the complete list, this is just a sample of domains that are priced under $10,000 reserves to start the auction. Some of the domains on this list are worth A LOT MORE then $10,000. Check out the list and guess how many domains will go for over $10,000. The auction is being held both in person at the Domain Roundtable and online using our AJAX based auction system.
We will be releasing an even more complete list later this week. This was just a random selection of domains under $10,000.
Conf.com starting at less then $500!!!!

I like the list so far, will there be an accepted or rejected notification or will it still say pending review once the list is finalized?
UPDATE BY JAY: When a person is officially in, we will mark the status as “on-list” and later this week we will be sending a note as well in case they have not logged in and seen the status. We don’t reject domains actually, but we will kick all the not picked domains out of the April Live auction submission queue when we finalize the list. If the domain is in the queue it has a small chance still.

Jay, how long does it take to review submitted domain? Just give a ballpark number.
UPDATE BY JAY: We are always reviewing what is in the queue. However we do not click accept or deny next next to each domain, we only select and change the status on domains that we pick.

Thanks to DomainTools.
It’s great to have our conf.com

We can embark to suggest our friends at those companies
which have something to do with
.conf ,
configurations,
confidentialities,
confections,
conferences,
conferencing, or
video-conferencing, et cetera to go to Domain Roundtable and auction
Thanks again, 2w

how do they determine whats worth going to auction or not?

I do not think that reviews can be finished soon, because you have not closed Domain submission, yet. I hope you can finish reviews by the 17th of April, to help us release our disqualified domains from domaintools and submit them in another domain live auction which is to be held in paris.

… does this mean IslandVacationing.com
still has a chance?
(still says “Pending Review” for “Live Auction-April” as of 5:30pm EST 11/12)

So are you saying we won’t actually know if anything currently showing status as “pending review” is in or out until the day the auction starts?
Thanks

I must admit, you run things in a strange way. “Real” auctions select their products early, don’t keep possible sellers hanging as to whether or not they have made the cut and have easy ways for sellers to communicate. Here, we tie up names for months not knowing what is going on, only to find out days before the auction …that we still have no clue.

We all want to know asap, but can you imagine the man hours that must be required to sort thru 100,000 or more names to come up with 3-400?
On second thought, since everyone attending gets 1 name in automatically, I wonder how many slots are actually left for other names? Seems that really cuts into the odds of getting names accepted, but is a nice gesture to the attendees that support the conference. Anyway, the selection process must be a HUGE undertaking and understandably slow.
